Science Fiction ₆ Current Transformer (CT) Structure (from top to bottom)

1. Top: Housing + Primary Winding + Secondary Winding
Enclosure: The enclosure completely isolates the internal secondary windings, bushing-type insulators, and other components from the external environment (including wind, rain, contamination, condensation, and small animals).
Primary winding: The primary winding is typically a conductive rod that passes through the center of the secondary winding.
Secondary winding: Used for metering, measurement, and protection purposes, it converts the primary high current into a secondary low current.

2. Middle section: Casing (external insulation)
Casing: made of high-strength electrical porcelain or silicone rubber, serving as the primary external insulation, supporting the upper section, and sealing the internal cavity.

3. Bottom: Base + Secondary Junction Box
Base: Supports the entire weight of the product and is equipped with mounting holes for connecting the product to the steel bracket.

4. SF ₆ Gas (filling)
Function: SF ₆ As the primary insulating medium, gas offers an insulation strength far exceeding that of air and possesses self‑healing capabilities. It also enables oil‑free operation, thereby eliminating fire and explosion hazards, while simultaneously facilitating heat dissipation and protecting internal components from oxidation and moisture ingress.
Requirement: SF ₆ The gas shall have a high purity (≥99.9%), low water content (≤15 μL/L), and reliable sealing under rated pressure (annual leakage rate ≤0.5%). During operation, emissions are strictly prohibited to mitigate the greenhouse effect, and any decomposition products resulting from faults must remain within specified limits.
