Project Overview:
As the UHV sending-end hub for transmitting Xinjiang power to Chongqing, it aggregates multi‑gigawatt‑class wind and solar resources from Naomohu Lake and delivers them directly to the Hami North converter station for onward transmission to Chongqing. By upgrading the eastern Xinjiang 750‑kV grid infrastructure and unlocking the clean energy potential of the Gobi Desert, it serves as a key delivery point for the west‑to‑east power transmission project.
