Recently, the TYD1000/√3-0.005H capacitive voltage transformer, independently developed by Shandong Taikai Instrument Transformer Co., Ltd., has successfully passed type tests and seismic (vibration‑reduction) tests at the Electrical Equipment Quality Inspection and Testing Center of the Power Industry and the Chongqing Communications Research and Design Institute of China Merchants Group.

Recently, the TYD1000/√3-0.005H capacitive voltage transformer, independently developed by Shandong Taikai Instrument Transformer Co., Ltd., has successfully passed type tests and vibration‑resistance (vibration‑damping) tests at the Electric Power Industry Electrical Equipment Quality Inspection and Testing Center and the China Merchants Group Chongqing Transportation Research and Design Institute.

This product is an ultra‑high‑voltage capacitive voltage transformer independently developed by our company. With the goal of achieving world‑class performance, the R&D team employed specialized simulation software to conduct precise simulations of the device’s electrical and seismic characteristics. The product successfully passed all type‑test items and the seismic test on the physical prototype in a single attempt, with key parameters—including partial discharge, ferroresonance, transient response, temperature coefficient, and dielectric loss factor—exceeding the specified requirements. All performance metrics comply with the standards GB/T 20840.1 “Instrument Transformers — Part 1: General Technical Requirements,” GB/T 20840.5 “Instrument Transformers — Part 5: Supplementary Technical Requirements for Capacitive Voltage Transformers,” and GB/T 24841 “Technical Specification for Capacitive Voltage Transformers Used in 1000 kV AC Systems.” In terms of seismic performance, the safety factor at a horizontal acceleration of 0.2 g exceeds 2.4, while at 0.4 g it is above 2.0—outperforming both the requirements of GB 50260 “Seismic Design Code for Power Facilities” and Q/GDW 11132 “Technical Regulations for Seismic Design of Ultra‑High‑Voltage Porcelain‑Insulated Electrical Equipment and for Installation and Maintenance of Vibration‑Isolation Devices,” as well as the current state of the art in the industry.

The successful development of this type of capacitive voltage transformer marks a significant advancement for the company in the field of ultra-high-voltage power equipment manufacturing. Moving forward, the company will continue to ramp up its R&D investments in the UHV sector, contributing to the further development of China’s power industry.
